The Importance of Being Earnest

From left to right: Christopher Salazar as John Worthington “JP",” Candy Buckley as Lady Bracknell, Melissa Molano as Cecily Cardew, and Dylan Godwin as Algernon Moncrieff.

For this production of The Importance of Being Earnest, the tailoring team made two three-piece suits, as well as several individual vests, trousers, and shirts. I modified Algernon’s white shirt to add additional pleated cuffs and an attached bow (the mock-up pictured right). I constructed Worthington’s cream suit with teal satin binding, including the vest, the jacket, and the trousers. Additionally, everyone in the shop had a hand in sewing trim to the women’s gowns.
